Why connect with a clinic?
Flow is designed as an at-home treatment, but for the best results, we recommend using it under the guidance of a clinician.
Clinicians can:
- Review your full medical history and tailor treatment to your specific needs.
- Monitor your Flow progress by viewing your treatment schedule and weekly questionnaire results.
- Customise your treatment schedule to better suit your needs (dependent on their qualifications).
How do I connect with a clinic?
To get started, your clinician will need to register for our Clinician Patient Platform (CPP). Here’s how it works:
- Share this form with your clinician: Get Set Up as a Flow tDCS Clinician.
- Your clinician will provide their details and complete a short training module and quiz.
- Once verified, we’ll create their account and provide resources and training to help them monitor and support your treatment.
- If they hold the appropriate qualifications, they’ll also be able to customise your treatment plan.
How do I accept a clinic invitation?
Once your clinician is set up in the CPP, they can send you an invitation to connect your Flow account with their clinic. You'll receive an email notification when the invitation has been sent. To accept:
- Open the Flow app.
- Follow the prompt to connect with your clinician’s account.
I didn’t receive the clinic invitation.
If your clinician says they’ve sent the invitation but you don’t see it in the Flow app, double-check that they used the same email address connected to your Flow account. Sometimes small typos or using multiple email addresses can cause issues.
If the problem persists, ask your clinician to send the invitation again.
How do I get my treatment schedule customised?
The Flow treatment schedule is based on scientific studies and clinical trials that have validated it as both safe and effective for treating depression. However, we understand that depression is experienced differently by everyone and a custom schedule may be needed.
Flow cannot make any customisations to your schedule. Only qualified clinicians are permitted to make these adjustments, so please speak directly to your clinician.
If your clinician has the required qualifications and is signed up for the CPP (Clinician Portal), they will have access and all the instructions needed to customise your schedule.
I don’t have a doctor to connect to.
We understand that not everyone has a clinician who can support them with their Flow treatment. If you need to find a clinician who is already familiar with Flow, you can use our Clinic Directory.
These clinics operate independently from Flow and charge a fee for their services. Please contact them directly for more details.
